How to Apply

Our Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting list is currently CLOSED.

We are accepting applications for the following programs:

Efficiency and one-bedroom units for persons who are elderly (age 62 or greater) or disabled;
Efficiency and one-bedroom units for persons who are near-elderly (age 50 or greater);
Scattered Site units for families
Congregate housing for the frail elderly (age 62 or greater)

To request an application for our Public Housing program or Congregate Living Facility, please call the Leasing Office at (860) 871-2063 ext. 14.

The Section 8 program provides assistance for low-income families in the private rental market through the Housing Assistance Payments Program.

Applicants must meet certain requirements in order to participate in the housing programs of the Vernon Housing Authority.
