Our goal is to help our residents with the little things so they can maintain their independence while feeling safe and comfortable in their own self-sufficient apartment. The Francis J Pitkat Congregate Living Center is a state-funded two-story building with 43 individual apartments and equipped with an elevator.
The eligibility requirements to reside at our Congregate facility are:
- applicants must be 62 years of age or older
- applicants must be income-eligible
- applicants must be capable of providing for their own daily needs without supervision
- applicants are subject to our "screening" process
Affordable
- All rent and services based on income
- Heat, hot water, cold water, electricity and basic cable included in rent
The Facility & Dwelling Units
- Spacious, secure, private dwelling units
- Emergency call-for-aid system in each unit
- Each unit equipped with a stove and refrigerator
- On-site laundry
- Library, Sunroom & Activity room with computers
- Sprinklers, fire alarm and smoke detector systems
- Lighted parking lot
- Supermarket and pharmacy nearby
Congregate Services
- Main meal prepared on site and served daily
- Light housekeeping services
- 24-hour administrative on-site staffing
- Resident Service Coordinator
- Daily Activities: Bingo, crafts, movies, cards, board games, puzzles, musical entertainment, the Wii™ Entertainment System
- Part-time nurses on site should our residents become eligible for this service
